Snap Peas


How to Cook/Use Snap Peas

Snap peas are awesome not only because they are healthy but also because there are so many ways to prepare them.  One way is to just eat them raw which is a great way to get some vitamins in your system inbetween meals. Check out some other ways to prepare snap peas below:


Cranberry Sauce


- Snap peas

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- Pepper to taste



- Heat oil in a pan

- Add snap peas

- Saute for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally

- Take pan off burner once snap peas are crisp tender


Nom nom nom!


Snow Pea Stir-Fry


- 8 oz. of snap peas

- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil (or olive oil)

- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch

-  1 tablespoon of olive oil

- 1 red onion cut into wedges and pulled apart

- 1 bell pepper thinly sliced

- 1 cup of cashews

- 1 tablespoon of ginger

- 1/2 cup of water



- Whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and 1/2 cup of water in a small bowl

- Heat olive oil pan and add the onion, bell pepper, cashews, and ginger

- Stir fry 2 to 3 minutes

- Add snap peas and stir fry for 1 minute

- Add soy sauce mixture and cook 1 to 2 minutes more
